Classic Cake Smash First Birthday Photo Shoot

Callie was the first baby to model one of my newest backdrops for her portraits and she couldn’t have been more perfect with her gorgeous baby blue eyes! Her sweet light blue dress was perfect for this set and I love how the white, cream and baby blue balloons complement the props so well. Throw in some twinkle lights and it’s even more magical! You don’t need an elaborate first birthday outfit, sometimes the simplest plain or solid colored dress works out so much better!

For her cake smash, mama went with the pink bow theme which is all the rage right now. She wanted simplicity with this set as well- adding her pink bow banner to the white wood with flecks of gold created the perfect combo. Callie went all in with her cake, even doing my favorite thing and just leaning in to take a bite!
