It’s not often I get small weddings anymore, but when Emily contacted me and told me about her Friday afternoon wedding at Promise Ridge, I couldn’t say no. I was only there once as a guest for a micro wedding for my husband’s nephew. It is absolutely breathtaking. 

I met Emily when she was just a fresh 16 year old working at Red Lobster. She was always a stunning girl, inside and out. I’ve seen her over the years when she would bring her daughter Marley to me for photos and they now have an adorable almost two year old daughter Arwyn. I met Brett the day of the wedding when he and Emily arrived together to Promise Ridge. They got dressed in side by side rooms and we did their first look a few moments later. I took them around the property and did some photos prior to their family arriving. We tucked Emily away once people started to arrive and with just their closest family and friends, we watched officiant Alisa Tongg work her usual magic and had us all in tears during the short and sweet ceremony. 

They made their way over to the pavilion to have a cocktails, appetizers and a cake all prepared on site by the ever talented Love Bites by Erika. 

Marley made a toast to her mom and Brett which had EVERYONE in tears, including me. She wrote it herself and it was wise beyond her years. Watching them together made me smile so much. Watching love through my camera is one of my favorite things about weddings. 

This wedding was only a few hours but I felt like it was just the right amount of time. It was the first chilly night we had that fall and it was absolute perfection.
