Zach and Emily had an absolutely amazing winter wedding. From getting ready to the end of the night with the confetti exit, it was the perfect day. In the last four years, I have turned down all winter weddings, due to various reasons: fall photos, Christmas photos, Santa sessions and time off with my family, on top of the demands of editing a wedding during the busy season. Having said that, when my distant cousin Emily reached out and asked me to photograph her December 16th wedding, I couldn’t say no. Emily is one of the most genuine people I’ve ever known. A genuine smile, a genuinely joyful heart and overall gratitude for life in general. Her smile lights up a room and you are immediately drawn to her personality, thus making her “the perfect bride”. Zach is the perfect balance to Emily’s bubbly personality with his reserved gentleness. Even though it rained, we made the most of it. The horse drawn carriage by Saucon Valley Carriage was a nice touch. We did all of their photos prior to their ceremony at their amazing house, which was the perfect backdrop for the overall prep and portraits of a wedding day. At their beautiful Notre Dame in Bethlehem ceremony in Bethlehem, the lead singer of The Sultans of Swing band sang the most incredible version of “Ava Maria” that gave Celine Dion a run for her money. Next we headed to The Vault 634 in Allentown where they partied the night away with their family and friends. Even Santa and his Mrs. made an appearance from the busy North Pole to bring gifts to all the children in attendance! The band was amazing and had everybody groovin’ all night long.
