I want you to imagine a time before Covid-19 dictated our every thought, decision, plan and routine. A time when we could be in a room with over 100 people dancing, laughing and celebrating. A time when masks were something only doctors and nurses wore. Seems like forever ago, right??? How about we go back to January 4th?

January 4, 2020 turns out was pretty special. It was my only “normal” wedding of 2020. Justin and Sarah had their wedding reception at The Hotel Bethlehem on Main Street in Bethlehem. Sarah said she had always dreamed of having a winter/Christmas wedding there. I mean, if you’re looking to have Christmas trees and lights in your photos, where better to have your wedding than the Christmas City of Bethlehem.

The day was perfect. No snow but chilly nonetheless. There had been some rain in the morning but it cleared enough for us to do beautiful photos and their first look. Sarah looked gorgeous in her gown and custom veil made by Crowning Moments Veils. She and Justin are so in love. I feel they compliment each other beautifully. They both did a surprise performance during the reception where they sang for everyone. Justin, who seems otherwise on the shy side, blew us all away.

There’s no secret theatre is interwoven into the bones of their relationship and it showed up in their decor and styling of the wedding day. We did their engagement session at the Roxy Theatre in Northampton because they love going to shows together and Sarah is an accomplished dancer and dance instructor at 3D Dance Studio, also in Northampton. In fact, many of her students filled the choir of the church and their angelic voices led the special songs throughout the ceremony.

I so wish we could go back to that day. Not only because our world today looks a lot different, but because the day was uncomplicated and wonderful. A fresh start. A new year. A new beginning in every sense of the word.

Justin and Sarah, I’m sorry this blog slipped through the cracks of this crazy year but to be honest, I’m kind of glad I didn’t write it sooner because I wouldn’t have gone back to look at these photos today which has brought so much joy to my day and I know it will bring joy to others who need some happy today, too! I love your photos. I hope you’ve been enjoying looking through all of them over the last several months. I’m excited to see what the future holds for the two of you.
